Malta face Monaco

Malta will play Monaco in their third World Cup qualifier, on the 20th January 2001. This is expected to be a great feat for Malta, as Monaco has a strong reputation for being a tough team to play against with strong forwards and backs.

Malta's first match against Moldova was indeed a very tough match for the team, they went into the game and played a spirited performance, but unfortunately lost by a large score due to their lack of experience. The following match was different, the Maltese went into the match with even more spirit and more experience. They did not win but they played a super match.

The attendance for the match was a total of 524 people. This time it's Monaco and the Maltese are looking anxiously for a great victory. Players with Maltese descent are coming to play for Malta on the occasion, an ex Harlequins player and other experienced players from Wales and England. Much time and effort has been put in by the players and coaches, as it is bound to be a highly contested match.

The match will kick off at 2:00pm.
