Private
Eyes A Comedy of Suspicion
In Steven Dietz's comedy of suspicion, honesty is only the last
resort. Matthew's wife Lisa is having an affair with their director
but oh, if it were that simple! From their rehearsal room to a
restaurant to a therapist's office, deception becomes a matter
of perception until this play within a play within a play within
a play (within a play...) gives over to the true reality
the simple fact of two people alone, eye to eye, with nowhere
left to hide.
Director Anthony Bezzina has assembled a strong cast made up of
Isabel Warrington, Philip Stilon,
Charlotte Grech, Alan Paris and Nanette Brimmer. Set design is
in the capable hands of Adrian Mamo.
Private Eyes runs over two weekends at the Manoel Theatre, on
10, 11 and 16, 17 18 February. All shows start at 7.30pm. Theatre
booking office is now open. Phone on 246389.
