Cat exhibition

St Julian’s
Cat exhibition at the Sonata Suite at the Golden Tulip Vivaldi Hotel, St Julian’s from 11am–4pm. The public will be able to appreciate 120 cats and participate in voting for the best pedigree, non-pedigree and kitten. All proceeds in aid of the Tomasina Cat Sanctuary. The event is sponsored by Eukanuba and Sataco Ltd.

This exhibition showing at the Museum of Archaeology is the result of the research conducted by the young Australian Maltese artist John Stanfield in the course of his Artist-in-Residency attached to the Museum of Archaeology in Valletta. Opening hours are: 9am to 4pm.

Sliema
'Sacred Sights' an exhibition of paintings of Malta's megalithic Temples by Jeni Caruana and Ebba von Fersen Balzan, will be on show during shop hours at the Joinwell Showrooms in Tower Road Sliema. In aid of Din L-Art Helwa's Mnajdra Appeal Fund and sponsored by Joinwell, the exhibition also aims to raise awareness and show the beauty of Malta's unique heritage.

Organised by the Italian Cultural Institute to commemorate Francesco Cripi (Ribera, Girgenti, Naples, 1818 – 1901) an important patriot and statesman who, for about two years lived in Malta in exile at Valletta and Tarxien (1853-1854). The launching of the book "Patrioti Girgentini a Malta" at the Itlaina Cultural Institute at 6pm will be in the presence of the author Avv. Gaetano Allotta di Belmonte and presented by Dr. A. Spinosa Rodriguez. Dr Guido Palamenghi Crispi, a distant relative of the illustrious statesman, will conclude the evening with a talk. For further information phone 221462.
