A reporter with very close connections to the infamous Maltese Secret Service has and is attempting to extort favours from individuals under criminal investigation.

The reporter has approached persons, believed to have been investigated by the Secret Service.

Details of the Secret Service surveillance reports were leaked to this reporter from the Secret Service, who then approached the persons involved.

The journalist had indicated to the individuals that some form of consideration could help to silence his efforts in not mentioning names in his articles.
