The economic update – a fresh look at the business scene

This Wednesday, the first edition of a new, monthly magazine, entitled ‘Economic Update’ will be distributed free with our sister paper, The Malta Financial and Business Times.

The magazine will include a number of interesting and informative articles and reports on various aspects of Malta’s economic and business activities.

This first edition includes an interview with Finance minister John Dalli, with Budget 2002 just around the corner and an examination of the government’s vision of Malta as a hub in the Mediterranean.

Other subjects tackled include new developments in the telecommunications sector, Iva spokesperson, Joanna Drake’s views on how Malta is faring with EU compliance, along with a resume of all the recent business news. The magazine has a foreword written by Economic Services minister, Josef Bonnici.
