Scores of illegally built boathouses dot the St Thomas Bay area
in Marsascala but despite the glaring infringement of the law the
Planning Authority web site only lists eight enforcement orders
for the zone

Justice minister Austin Gatt told MaltaToday that he is in agreement
with the suggestion for a declaration of assets by the judiciary.
But he did not outline any timetable for such a reform. The judiciary
have long been accused of suffering from a conflict of interest
over possible involvement in business concerns.

petrol with an alternative fuel could lead to a health and environmental
catastrophe unless legislation is introduced obliging motorists
to fit their cars with a catalytic converter.
