Boycott
controversy spreads to PBS radio talk show
By Kurt

The Labour party yesterday was not in a position to respond on its
decision to boycott media company Wheres Everybody?
during a discussion programme hosted by PBS journalist Reno Bugeja
on Radio Malta, with former Super One Chairman Alfred Mifsud cancelling
his participation a day before.
Despite the criticism made by the MLP that Wheres
Everybody? is preventing PBS workers from doing their job,
the Labour party yesterday failed to make an appearance on the
programme, Nigu ghall-Punt which is an in-house PBS
production.
Xarabank presenter Peppi Azzoaprdi, University lecturer
Joe Mercieca and Nationalist party representative Paul Borg Olivier
were Reno Bugejas guests. It is understood that Labour party
officials did not accept Mr Bugejas invitation to debate
the boycott decision and MLP candidate Alfred Mifsud backed out
on Friday after having confirmed his participation.
This is the latest episode in the MLPs boycott saga, which
now seems to have extended to any programme that discusses the
controversial decision. Only last week MLP secretary general Jimmy
Magro refused to answer questions put to him by this newspaper,
saying that he had nothing to add to the statement issued by the
party.
