Greens campaign nets St Julians

St Julians was in the limelight this weekend when the Green party, Alternattiva Demokratika, presented its proposals for action to be tacken in the locality.

Whilst concentrating on issues such as tourism, leisure and traffic, AD’s candidate for St Julians Alex Borg highlighted the need to find a solution for the parking problems residents face. He said that if he is elected, he will be pushing for parking schemes, traffic-free areas or limited traffic areas, waste management policies, a public transport shuttle service, safeguards for local fishermen and attention to the cleaning services.

The AD candidate made special reference to the over-development of Wied Ghomor and the coast of St Julians and welcomed an appeal from Nature Trust which has asked for the removal of waste generated in the valley.
