BJs gears up for 13th live music marathon

An event that has become a firm favourite in the live music calendar - the BJs music marathon - will kick off on 1 April.

BJs owner, Philip Fenech, explained that over the years, the music marathon has raised over Lm80,000 for various charitable organisations, while also giving live music a boost. Last year’s event broke all records by raising Lm12,500 for the Millennium Chapel and continuing for over 100 hours, eventually coming to an end after one week and eight hours.

This year’s event - the thirteenth edition of the music marathon - will be raising funds for the Wishing Others Well charity, a support unit run by Father Hilary Tagliaferro, which helps people with social problems.

Mr Fenech said all musicians are welcome to participate, whether they play jazz, rock, pop, blues, folk or classical. To find out about taking part, call him on 9949 3534, or call at BJs in Paceville after 10pm.
