Albert Rizzo calls for resignation of Mayor Attard

Gzira: Mayor Vincenza Attard may face a vote of no confidence this week. Independent councillor Albert Rizzo said the Mayor has never tried to control Labour Councillor Alfred Kitcher who according to Mr Rizzo is arrogant and always at loggerheads with PN Councillor Ian Micallef.

According to Mr Rizzo, Kitcher's has threatened the PN councillor several times.

In a statement Mr Rizzo said that at the moment most of the work at the Council is at a standstill.

"In the last few weeks I have told her to stop all this nonsense. I also reported the case to the authorities concerned.

"I would very much like to see the council united once again," he said.
