Not another five years, please

"Our Country cannot take another five years of Nationalist government and because of this in the coming weeks the Labour Party will be preparing itself so that our country will not be the victim of the Nationalist party for another five years," said Deputy MLP leader, Dr George Vella while addressing the first session of the meeting of the Association of Labour Veterans. Dr Vella went on to say that all Maltese and Gozitan people should be careful about the choices they make in the coming weeks because the Nationalist Government wanted to bind them with indissoluble ties.

The deputy leader said that our country was experiencing a disgusting episode of fact-twisting, lies and half-truths. Which is why it was so important that everybody understood what the Nationalists and the Malta Labour Party were offering in reality.

"For the last 12 years the Nationalist Party has been living in a world of dreams, lost with its obsession of assimilation into the EU. It has neglected what it was menat to accomplish in our country. The false belief of the Nationalists is that solutions are to be found within the EU and that the only way we can work with the EU is to be members of the union." Dr George Vella went on to say that "Today the Nationalist Party has reached the stage were it is insulting the truth when it does not even admit that our country is having to face the reality of a stagnant economy."
