Green party launch Green Ribbon Campaign in Valletta

VALLETTA – Alternattiva Demokratika, the Green Party, launched its latest fund raising campaign in Valletta yesterday morning, as the run-up to the elections are gaining momentum.

The aim of the campaign is to collect funds for the Green Party’s campaign in the forthcoming referendum and general elections.

The Green Party also launched its electoral manifesto on CD as part of its Green Ribbon Campaign.

AD Chairperson Dr Harry Vassallo addressed a press conference saying the party was convinced more than ever that people were everyday becoming conscious that it was time for a change and for a breath of fresh air in Maltese politics. "This can be witnessed as the Green family rapidly grows week after week", he said.

AD Secretary General Stephen Cachia said: "The Green Ribbon campaign begins today at City Gate Valletta to maintain and improve contact with constituents, members and sympathisers.

"Alternattiva Demokratika thanks its members, volunteers and supporters whose activism and donations are vital for the Green Family. We are confident that we shall be elected in Parliament and local councils in 2003."

Donations of Lm2 can be done by sending a blank message to 618100. Cash donations or cheques and money orders payable to Alternattiva Demokratika, may be sent to Alternattiva Demokratika 149, Archbishop's Street, Valletta.

Alternatively, one may send donations through standing orders payable to HSBC Account Number 085-029940-001.
