The national executive of the Malta Labour Party met Friday to discuss
various items which were on the agenda, the priority being the VAT
and the partnership issue. But during the long meeting a couple
of members of the executive committee wanted an explanation regarding
the participation of Karmenu Vella and Louis Buhagiar during the
charity show l-Istrina. READ

Three separate elections,
or what?
Monday marked the last reception for the New Year. But all political
parties were losing no more time, this week strategy and core group
meetings dominated the diaries of top politicians and campaign managers.
The writing was on the wall that the Prime Minister favoured an
early referendum and separate from the national elections, leaving
the Labour Party in a quandary. Should they participate, appear
