Sportive Ramblings by Kevin Grech

A lesson in Football

Last Tuesday in a clash of the giants Real Madrid and Man. Utd met in a champions League league match in Madrid. As everybody knows Real crushed United even if the score was only 3-1.

It was not the goal difference that was convincing but difference in the way the teams played.

The game was a lesson in football and also a spectacular show to watch from Real Madrid’s end.

Yes, we must not forget United played away and also that Real Madrid are one of the best teams in the world. But what about United, what happened to the fluent passes from Beckham? And the impressive attacking side that we are used to seeing in the English Premiere League.

United just crumbled under the fancy and graceful moves of Zidane, Raul and Carlos. These players played with the ball like it was tied to there feet.

Sir Alex Ferguson thinks United still have a chance in the next game at Old Trafford, but the Manchester side should get some dancing lessons under its belt to try to keep up with the fancy footwork of the Spanish giants.
