Labour leader Alfred Sant is at it again. In a brief speech delivered
at the Hamrun Labour Party club on Friday Dr Sant tried to woo
party supporters by playing the early election game
for the umpteenth time...

Maltese football is not a phenomenon that makes headlines abroad
but a row that has been raging between the Italian football federation
and the Sicilian football club, Catania, has seen Maltas
name cropping up in the unlikeliest of scenarios.
Although the Maghtab dump was the scourge of all who had the
environment at heart, following the government announcement of
plans to have landfills near Maltas temples, there is substantial
pressure to keep Maghtab open...
The Malta Arbitration Centre came in for a bashing this week
with Labour MP Jose A Herrera pointing out what he sees
as the failings of the centre. The centre has cost thousands and
has only decided 16 cases in the past four years...
