Wenzu Mintoff
Dr Wenzu Mintoff incorporated all his answers in one:
This is essentially an internal election for an important
post within the Labour Party where a choice has to be made by
a restricted constituency of 900 delegates.
In my opinion the delegates have to first identify what the party
needs in terms of abilities, character, political sense, that
are required for the post and then they have to choose the right
person according to those criteria.
More than contesting an election I am offering my services to
the Party, I am indicating my willingness to contribute in an
important role. It is up to the delegates to make their choice
between several valid candidates.
The political strategy is the responsibility of the entire Party
and not that of some candidate or other individually. No political
strategy is discussed publicly.
