The Chairman and Directors of HSBC Bank Malta p.l.c. hosted a special reception for former chairmen, directors, general managers and senior managers, who over the past four decades have played a significant role in building the Bank and who contributed to the modern development of the Banking Sector in Malta.
The reception was attended by the President of Malta, H.E. Dr Eddie Fenech Adami, and past executives who served the bank not only as HSBC, but also as Mid-Med Bank and Barclays Malta.
“HSBC is a great Maltese bank built on strong foundations; foundations put in place by generations of management and staff. The growth and success of HSBC over the past five and a half years could not have been achieved without those efforts dating back in some cases over four decades. HSBC is appreciative of those efforts. Every successful country needs a prosperous economy which in turn requires a sound banking system, and over the decades, this Bank has played a major role in that with your contribution,” said HSBC’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr Shaun Wallis, while addressing the invited guests.
Prior to the start of the reception, HSBC’s Board of Directors paid a courtesy visit to H.E. The President at The Palace in Valletta.
