I am writing to see if you are aware that the Joe Mifsud, MFA President and UEFA committee member Joe Mifsud, has caused a stink in the UK over his outburst that Liverpool Football Club, having won the Champions League a week ago, should be excluded from defending the title next year since Liverpool did not qualify for next year’s Champions League.
The Liverpool fan sites are carrying messages saying ‘don’t go to Malta for your holidays’, and ‘boycott Malta’. The local Maltese Reds are trying to pacify the UK Reds but feel UEFA has let them down and Malta should back the champions in their demand to defend their trophy.
