Monsoon Valley wines are made entirely from Thai grapes, which are grown on the amazing “floating vineyards” set on islands, separated by canals in the north of the Gulf of Thailand in the Chao Phraya Delta and Produced by Siam winery, which is the largest winery in all Asia.
Monsoon Valley white wine is made from the Malaga Blanc grapes. With exotic aromas of lemongrass and watermelon, this is a light-bodied wine with a crisp and fresh finish. Monsoon Valley rosé wine is made in the saignee method, whereby the Malaga Blanc, Pokdum and Black Muscat grapes are macerated and fermented together. With fresh aromas of watermelon and mango fruit, this is a light-bodied wine with a crisp and delicate finish.
Monsoon Valley red wine is made from a blend of local Pokdum, Shiraz and Black Muscat grapes. After stainless steel maceration the wine spends two months oak ageing prior to bottling. With bright and clean red fruit aromas, this is a medium-bodied wine with velvety finish, which can also be served chilled.
In their very short presence in the international market, Monsoon Valley wines have been awarded with a Silver medal at the Wine Master Challenge 2003, Bronze Medal at the Los Angeles County Fair 2004, Top 100 list as at Saveur magazine New York 2004 and Top 250 wines to watch by Matthew Jukes UK 2004.
