Reference is made to the letter published on the 19 June 2005 under the heading “Floriana: a not so simple case” by Mr Edward Torpiano, particularly to the last paragraph of the letter.
The first thing I would like to correct is that my name is Publio and not as referred by the correspondent
Mr Torpiano’s allegation that I wrote in the press under a nom de plume so that he would think that Mrs Mary Dimech had written them is both untrue. If Torpiano wants to be believed by anyone let him substantiate his accusations and specifically indicate the letters he is referring to. Until he gives a satisfactory reply, your readers will have to conclude that Mr. Torpiano is a dreamer and what he writes is far from the truth.
