Labour’s proposals for Gozo

“Labour believes that manufacturing can once again be revived in Gozo” said Alfred Sant, the leader of the party. During a social gathering in Mgarr Gozo he mentioned that in the following weeks, MLP will be in the process of drafting a proposal for the economic, socio-political, educational, health and environmental development. Sant declared that the Nationalist government of not offering the Gozitan people a sense of direction and vision. The financial hardships suffered by the Gozitan people were temporarily alleviated due to the usual increase in summer tourism.
However hoteliers and entrepreneurs are worried about the economy. Labour’s proposals will be based on the aspirations and realities of Gozo. The report will propose changes but will also recommend satisfactory procedures to remain in place.
