I am trying to locate any newspapers in Malta that might have done a story of a person who drowned in St Paul’s Bay in Malta on 15 November 1953. His name was Albert Bertie Waters who was serving on HMS Glory.
He drowned on 17 November 1953. My father served in Malta during this time and I was born at Mtarfa in 1957, and he was a very good friend of his. His family, after many years, are trying to look for a photo of Albert in his naval uniform. I tried everywhere here in the UK, and have found nothing. Do you know of a paper in Malta that might have covered this article – we have a newspaper cutting taken from our local paper here in the UK, but he is dressed in “civies” not in uniform.
