Maltacom launches international calling from mobile

Maltacom is introducing an international calling facility for mobile customers - the Interxs service.
This service provides a calling alternative to mobile customers, whether on a postpaid or prepaid plan, to make low cost international calls to any country. It is designed to offer the customers a comfortable and flexible facility no matter the time or place, even if the user does not have a fixed line nearby.
Customers need only dial the Interxs number 21 897 897 and follow the voice prompt to dial the international number.
The Interxs call is divided into two parts. The local element is charged to the customer’s mobile bill or mobile top-up card at applicable mobile rates, while the international call is charged at the Interxs rates and the customers can receive the charges for the latter part of the call on the Maltacom telephone bill of a 21 number.
Interxs offers extremely cheap rates especially for calls to the most popular destinations. The service also offers simple pricing. One standard rate applies, whatever the time and day of the call and whether the international call terminates on a fixed telephone line or a mobile phone abroad.
Some Examples: Australia 15c, Austria 10c, Belgium 10c, Canada 5c, France 10c, Germany 10c, Italy 10c, Libya 10c, Russia 10c, Spain 10c, The Netherlands 10c, Tunisia 10c, UK 10c, USA 5c. Rates are quoted per min but charged on a per second basis.
Interxs customers are offered two payment plans, Postpaid and Prepaid.
Customers choosing the Postpaid Plan have two payment options. The Full Postpaid option, whereby customers will receive the charge for the international calls they make from their mobile phone on the telephone bill of the 21 number that they indicate on the Application Form. The Controlled Postpaid option offers customers the possibility of purchasing credit prior to making international calls from their mobile phone and still be billed for this credit on the telephone bill of the 21 number they indicate on the Application Form.
The Prepaid Plan necessitates that customers buy credit prior to using the Interxs service with their debit or credit card. Customers who opt for the Prepaid Plan need not apply for the service.
Instructions on how to use the Interxs service are available at any Maltacom Branch Office or through the Maltacom’s website.
