A book addressed to me at Paola was posted in Valletta on January 12. This book was received on January 18. There is no need for any explanation by Maltapost. Everyone in Malta and Gozo knows perfectly well that there is no comparison between the efficiency of the former post department and that provided by Maltapost. Experience has now amply shown that privatisation is not and never was meant to provide efficiency. It is merely intended to substitute public for private ownership of state assets. And the case of Maltapost is proof par excellence.
