Social security fraud discovered last year was reported to be Lm500,000 and remedial action by the department was taken. Prosit.
False declaration of assets and income made to parliament by an ex Labour MP, Dr Louis Buhagiar, was actually equivalent to the total amount of social security fraud in the whole of Malta and was confirmed by myself to be also in the region of Lm500,000. Yet, not a word or even a mention in PR dispatches. Prosopopeia?
