I am appalled to hear about the application to build over 200 villas at Ta’ Cenc. It is amazing that any citizen of this country should have the gall to even think of devastating one of our few remaining areas of outstanding natural beauty. Perhaps this application is a measure of the debauched state that we have now been brought to.
I fear that some may consider my objection to this application as a form of Luddism. It is nothing of the kind. It is a plea to protect just enough of our islands to prevent them from being turned into a sterile wasteland.
If we persist in this mindless devastation, not only will our country no longer be worth visiting. It may well no longer be fit to live in.
If MEPA does not reject this application it will reveal itself as just one more accomplice in the degradation of our environment.
