Four migrants were yesterday rescued by the Armed Forces at the same time as one lifeless body was recovered from the sea between Malta and Comino, after the boat they were travelling in capsized off Ta’ l-Ahrax Point in Mellieha during the late hours of Friday.
The Army continued searching for nine more migrants who were also on the capsized boat and believed to be lost at sea.
The migrants had escaped from detention centres in Hal Far and Hal Safi and were allegedly on a clandestine voyage to reach mainland Italy.
