Prison NGO Mid-Dlam ghad-Dawl slammed Home Affairs Minister Tonio Borg’s proposals to change the criminal law which would give judges the power to dismiss the testimony of accomplices deemed not credible.
Calling it “extremely dangerous” and warning that it will lead to serious miscarriages of justice, the NGO said Borg’s insistence on the amendments originally proposed last year in the White Paper on justice reform was “absolutely unacceptable”.
