Reducing MPs, a solution

The other day I was having a good sit on my comfortable armchair meditating on the woes around us and I think I have come up with a very good solution to most of them.
The first thing that should be done is to reduce the number of Parliamentarians from 65 to about 21 or so. That way they will cause two-thirds less damage than they are doing presently, thus saving the Exchequer huge amounts of money as well as help solve the pension problem. It will also help solve the problem of space in the existing Parliament, so the country will not have to fork out millions to accommodate them on the site of the old opera house which certainly should not be used for this purpose.
I agree that even 21 would be 21 too many but I think that for starters this would help reduce our problems. It is also a fact that, per capita, there are many more parliamentarians polluting Malta than any other European country.
Since they all keep saying that their only interest is the country (not that anyone believes them) and that what they do is not for themselves I assure them all that everyone will be most grateful to them if they sacrifice their position and quit.
