BOV launches the eAccount

In line with its efforts to offer customers straightforward and efficient solutions to carry out financial transactions, Bank of Valletta is introducing the eAccount - an innovative account that offers attractive interest rates coupled with easy access to funds. eAccount holders will also have the option to apply for a fee-free overdraft facility on their account. Another benefit for eAccount customers is the waiving of card fees when taking out a BOV Cashlink Visa Card and a BOV Classic Credit Card.
The new BOV eAccount allows customers the freedom to manage their funds through a number of different channels, including BOV’s Internet Banking Service, the BOV Cashlink cards, the BOV Telephone and Mobile services as well as the BOV Customer Service Centre. This account is an ideal alternative to conventional savings accounts and offers customers a premium of 0.3% over the savings rate for making use of more efficient channels.
Joe Zammit, Head of Product and Business Development at Bank of Valletta said this was a good opportunity for those customers who want the convenience and flexibility to conduct banking transactions in real time without having to leave the comfort of their home or office.
Joe Zammit added that the new eAccount offers many benefits to customers who prefer taking care of their finances away from the bank’s branch. “We’re offering added value through a higher interest rate on savings, the opportunity to have a fee-free overdraft facility on the account, fee-free cards and 24-hour access to funds,” added Zammit.
Opening an eAccount or switching an existing savings account to an eAccount is easy. Customers can visit any BOV branch to apply for the account. BOV 24x7 customers may fill an application online.
