With an overwhelming majority, football clubs members of the Malta Football Association, voted to keep MFA President Joe Mifsud in office despite his serious error of judgement when defending the employment of a grounds man despite having been found guilty of paedophilia.
The motion asking for the resignation of the MFA president at yesterday’s annual general meeting was presented by Sliema Wanderers President and Nationalist MP Robert Arrigo. However, Arrigo was not present for yesterday’s vote.
A counter motion to Arrigo’s was approved by 81 votes in favour, seven abstentions and three votes against.
