A group of 31 Maltese holiday-makers were witness to a tragic accident in Italy, as their coach driver jumped a red light and smashed into an oncoming motorcyclist, killing him instantly.
The accident happened in the outskirts of Bologna earlier this month, when the Maltese tourists were being driven out of Bologna centre.
The victim, a 39-year-old father of three, was killed on the spot when the bus just rammed into his Yamaha Xt600.
Although shocked, some of the Maltese on board the bus tried to assist the motorcyclist, who was later certified dead by paramedics.
The coach driver, who is from Perugia was arrested for reckless driving, and subsequently released on bail pending trial.
