With the tourism industry on its knees and youth unemployment so high especially in Gozo, I am amazed at the number of letters which criticise the proposed Hondoq ir-Rummien project. Given the extreme positions adopted by AD on the one hand, and the PN on the other, the MLP position stands out as the only one that is sensibly balanced for the long-term economic benefit of Qala and Gozitan residents. Hence I agree with the Labour’s stand that a marina at Hondoq without the land speculation is the best solution. I am confident that the MLP will stand firm by its commitment and original stand, namely not to adopt a hands-off approach on Hondoq.
