While your mobile is on …

You can run, but you cannot hide

The freedom of roaming around with your mobile phone might deceive you into thinking you are untraceable, but the existing technology in Malta makes it possible to trace users by location even if they are not calling or messaging anyone.
Databases located in mobile phone networks track location information about users when their phones are turned on, raising 3page 1 concerns that if mobile operators share tracking information, security agencies and marketing organisations will know people’s daily shopping habits and driving routes.
