‘After-hours’ ops to kill waiting lists

Government has voted an additional Lm60,000 per month to finance after-hours operations at St Luke’s Hospital, in a bid to reduce long waiting lists.
Speaking to MaltaToday, health minister Louis Deguara explained that the initiative so far is addressing eye cataract operations, for which hundreds of elderly people are on a waiting list.
