Juanito Camilleri gets Lm15,000 from OPM

University Rector Professor Juanito Camilleri has to date received Lm15,000 in consultancy work for the Prime Minister’s secretariat.
The figure was announced in parliament by Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi who replied to a parliamentary question last Friday.
In a two-page document, the Prime Minister listed 22 consultancy recruitments made by departments that fall under his portfolio and date back to 1 January 2006.
Other consultants named were Joseph Izzo who was paid Lm4,362 by the Management and Personnel Office on matters related to human resources; Gordon Cordina who was paid Lm2,719 by the MCESD for consultancy work related to the economy, while the Council for Science and Technology forked out almost Lm30,000 in consultancy to a series of firms and individuals in relation to a project named DuroMedITI.
