PBS has finally decided to appoint its own committee to organise the annual Christmas charity marathon l-Istrina headed by former chief executive Andrew Psaila.
Psaila announced Friday that he will be assisted by the two NGOs that applied for the tender although their bids were discarded given that they did not fulfil the requirements laid out in the tender document. Both Razzett tal-Hbiberija and Eden Foundation had in fact refused to give costings of the activity and to provide bid bonds and bank guarantees for the charity event. Meanwhile even Sign It, who had teamed up with Eden in their proposal, will also be involved through their use of the tent they are setting up at Ta’ Qali, although Razzett had originally suggested holding the event at the Valletta Opera House ruins.
