Matthew Vella has been appointed Editor of Wednesday’s business newspaper Business Today, replacing Kurt Sansone who has moved on to become editor of the Maltese newspaper Illum.
 And at MaltaToday, Karl Schembri is the new Deputy Editor.
Matthew Vella, 26, joined MaltaToday in 2002 after graduating in anthropology at the University of Malta. He has worked for MaltaToday, the Circle, and True Magazine. He holds a Masters Degree in Human Rights from the University of Malta.
Karl Schembri, 28, joined MaltaToday in 2004 after working for The Malta Independent, The Malta Independent on Sunday, In-Nazzjon and Bay Radio. He was appointed MaltaToday News Editor in September last year. He graduated with a BA in Sociology from the University of Malta and has a Diploma in Functional Arabic. He is the chairman and co-founder of the Journalist’s Committee.
