MED denies involvement in Gozo roads project

Please refer to the front page article (“Buhagiar wins contract…” February 18) claiming that our firm is involved in a road project in Gozo which has been criticised because of delays and cost overruns.
To the best of my knowledge no such criticism has been made by anybody on the project for which I am project supervisor: namely, the Mgarr – Ghajnsielem - Heliport Road. The reason for this is that the date for completion of works has not been exceeded. Likewise, the value of works specified in the tender has not been reached.
The criticism referred to in the above article is for another road project in Gozo with which neither myself nor our firm have any connection whatsoever.
