It was good for M’scala local councillors to repair ancient merry-go-rounds, restore playing field furniture and add some new ones. But the safety gates are not yet fixed. The white and red iron bars are not enough.
And why is it that both playing field and promenade are so dirty? Take-away boxes and bags are strewn everywhere, ice cream cups, bottles are seen under benches. Dog’s dirt is not lacking, benches are rusty, grass is sprouting out of crevices on the promenade and the trees are so carelessly planted without any sense of order.
More bins should be provided along the promenade. Our locality sees thousands of visitors all year round, summer is far worst because we have no rain to wash away dirt and smudges. Can’t we have a couple of civic wardens to help us out in keeping our so called relaxing areas cleaner?
Whilst restaurateurs, especially those selling take-aways, should help with cleaning up, should not the local council once in a while wash out these areas?
What about the government landscaping. Consorstium: is M’Scala excluded as well from this project?
