IBAC director denies allegations

I write on behalf of Mr Josef Buttigieg (c/o Institute of Business and Commerce, MCAST Main Campus, Corradino Hill, Paola), who is the Deputy Director of the Institute of Business and Commerce (IBAC) at MCAST, and I refer you to the article written by David Darmanin and published in the front page of your newspaper dated 5 October 2008, entitled “Former lecturer claims persecution after refusing to doctor marks”.
In the said article, Mr Gervais Marcel Chishahayo was quoted as saying that “Who is IBAC Management?”… “Is it one person (IBAC deputy director Mr Josef Buttigieg) who has been persecuting me with impunity for the last five years because of my refusal to invent students’ marks after a whole class’s assignments went missing while in his custody?”
My client categorically rebuts these allegations, since these are totally false and unfounded, both in fact and in law, and furthermore my client is reserving all his legal rights to proceed against Gervais Marcel Chishahayo for these allegations which have tarnished my client’s reputation and professional integrity.
