Forgettable editorial in The Times

On Wednesday, 12 November, I wrote the following comment (faithful, if not identical) to The Times of Malta online, about its inordinately subjective editorial of that day.
“It makes me sad to read your Leader. I will not comment on the merits or otherwise of Budget ’09. Over many years Times of Malta established itself as a brave, leading and independent institution. Today’s Leader is a final death blow to its independence.”
They stopped comments for an hour or two, and then published a number, many of which were of the usual red/blue ping-pong battle, but mine was not included.
Indeed, sad!
