Business Europe president to address Today think-tank

Ernst-Antoine Seilliere, the President of Business Europe (the Confederation of European Business) and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Wendel Investissment, will address Malta’s only independent public policy think-tank, The Today Public Policy Institute for a talk entitled ‘Enterprise, Europe and the Crisis’.
“What he says about the way Europe will try to deal with this crisis will have lessons for businessmen all over Europe, including Malta,” Today director Martin Scicluna said.
“Mr Seilliere’s reputation as an excellent speaker with a well-honed Gallic wit goes before him. Given the state of European business as it struggles to cope with the down-turn in confidence, Mr Seilliere’s views from a European-wide perspective on how enterprise and commerce might cope with the gathering storm should be both instructive and illuminating.”
The Today Public Policy Institute promotes the wide understanding of strategic issues of national importance and sponsors or initiates research on specific national problems, solutions to those problems and public debate on them.
The talk by Mr Ernest-Antoine Seilliere will take place at 6pm on Monday, 26 January 2009 in the Main Hall of the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry by courtesy of the President and Council of the Chamber.
