Questions to Dr Alfred Sant

Writing in l-Orizzont (6 January 2009), the Hon. Dr Alfred Sant, former Labour Leader, slammed the Commission appointed by the Labour party executive to analyse the 8 March 2008 election defeat, arguing that its members, though well-intentioned, lacked the necessary political experience to do their job properly. Furthermore, he claimed that the resulting report missed the wood for the tress, placing great emphasis on trivialities, while overlooking the really important issues that contributed to the MLP’s surprise defeat.
Has Dr Sant received any summons to appear before the ‘Bord tal-Vigilanza’ for publicly slamming the party’s commission?
Will the Chairman of the said Board summon Dr Sant and ask him to respond? Why should he be an exception?
Is Dr Sant back into the fold, ready to control and pass judgement on who has “the necessary experience to do the job properly”?
Does he not realise that in his political career he has been a serial failure?
Will Dr Joe Muscat call Dr Sant a “serp” (serpent) or a “traditur” (traitor) for such unethical behaviour of Dr Sant towards the MLP, now the Partit Laburista?
