Louis Grech, the originator of the asylum agency

I think it is only correct to note that the European Asylum Support Office was originally proposed by the Labour MEP Louis Grech over three years ago. Unfortunately back then, the conservatives were not in favour of the setting up of such an agency. Even Simon Busuttil and David Casa did not cast their vote in favour of this agency. One must only wonder why. Had this agency been set up years ago as proposed by Louis Grech, several problems we are facing today would not have been there in the first place. It is only a pity that we have Maltese MEPs who have put their own partisan interests before that of the country.
