Simon Busuttil is ahead among all categories, but PN wins only among those with post-secondary education

While voters with a post-secondary education are more likely to vote for the Nationalist Party and Alternattiva Demokratika, those with a secondary and primary education are more likely to vote for the Labour Party. This is the main result of a MaltaToday survey which predicts an absolute majority for the PL in Saturday’s vote.
While the PN is 10 percentage points ahead of the PL among those with post-secondary education, it lags 22% behind the PL among those with a primary level of education.
The PL is also six points ahead of the PN among those with a secondary level of education.

AD’s support is limited to respondents with a post-secondary level of education, among which it gains 6.3%.
But the Greens enjoy very little support among respondents with a secondary or primary level of education.
Anti-immigration pary Azzjoni Nazzjonali is likewise also more popular among those with a higher level of education.
Immigration is in fact the most important issue of the campaign according to respondents with a secondary and post-secondary education, while the cost of living is the top concern of respondents with a primary education.
Predictably, concern with bread and butter issues, such as the cost of living and the hike in utility bills, prevail among those with a lower level of education while concern on the environment is highest among those with a post secondary education.
Simon Busuttil, Edward Scicluna and Louis Grech emerge as the most popular candidates among all categories of respondents.
Arnold Cassola is the third most popular candidate among respondents with a post secondary education but enjoys no significant support among other categories of voters.
