Exhibition of art to be auctioned in aid of Id-Dar tal-Providenza launched

At the exhibition, that is taking place in the foyer of the Parliament Building in Valletta, there are around eighty works of art donated by various Maltese and foreign artists. 

Anġlu Farrugia, Speaker of the House of Representatives official opened an exhibition of works of art that will be auctioned off on New Year’s Day during the 20th edition of the Feast of Generosity organised by RTK4Charity in aid of Id-Dar tal-Providenza. 

At the exhibition, that is taking place in the foyer of the Parliament Building in Valletta, there are around eighty works of art donated by various Maltese and foreign artists. 

Fr Martin Micallef, Director of id-Dar tal-Providenza, praised and thanked these artists for donating their words and urged the Maltese public to view these exhibits as well bid for one or more of these works during the auction. 

The public will be able to view these works of art beforehand between the 15 and 23 December. Viewing will be between 9.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday whilst on the weekend doors are open between 9.00am and 1.00pm.

During the Feast of Generosity they will then be displayed at Id-Dar tal-Providenza. All those wishing to bid for the works of art may do so online on www.dtpauction.com between the 15 December 2015 and 1 January 2016. 

On New Year’s Day there will also be the possibility for bidding by phone on  a number that will be texted on the TV screens during the broadcast on the main local TV stations. One may also visit the hall in Id-Dar tal-Providenza in Siġġiewi where the works may also be viewed.
