American writer Suzanne Rivecca to read on campus

Acclaimed US writer Suzanne Rivecca will be giving a reading at Gateway Building, Hall C of the University of Malta this Thursday at 19:00.

Suzanne Rivecca is the author of the acclaimed collection of short stories, Death Is Not an Option (W. W. Norton & Co., 2010) and the holder of several awards and prizes.

She is currently writer in residence at the American Academy in Rome and holds writing fellowships from Stanford University, the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study, and the National Endowment for the Arts.

Her forthcoming book is a fictional exploration of the life of Walt Whitman.

Suzanne Rivecca will read from her work and will be answering questions from the audience.

Academics, students and fans of American literature and contemporary fiction should find the reading of interest.

The reading is organised by the Department of English of the University of Malta, in collaboration with the Embassy of the United States in Malta.
