Former NTC chairman in Malta for Gonzi’s book launch

Former chairman of the Libyan National Transitional Council as guest speaker during Lawrence Gonzi’s book launch.

The former Chairman of the Libyan National Transitional Council Mustafa Abdul-Jalil will be the guest speaker during the launch of the book 'Gonzi and Malta's break with Gaddafi.  Recollections of a Premier.'

A guest of Kite Group, Jalil will be participating during the book launch of Gonzi's recollections on the Libyan crisis which will be held at The Grand Master's Palace in Valletta tomorrow.

During his visit, Jalil will also be calling on the President, the Prime Minister, the Speaker and the Leader of the Opposition. 

Mustafa Abdul-Jalil last visited Malta in September 2011 when, as Chairman of the National Transitional Council, he attended talks with Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi on the Libyan revolution that was underway as well as on Malta's role.

Written by Dr Joseph Cassar, former ambassador to Libya, the book will captivate readers, present exclusive photographs and documents and will offer unique insights into Malta's role in the crisis. 

Mustafa Abdul-Jalil also contributed to the

book through a foreword in which he sheds light on the role Lawrence Gonzi had in assisting the cause of the Libyan revolution. 

The book also carries another introductory message by Mahmoud Gebbril, the former Libyan Prime Minister.
