Pride and Prejudice in Fidelity Criticism: The Case of Jane Austen’s Emma
Public lecture by Prof Gloria Lauri-Lucente at Hall E, Gateway Building, University campus at 18:30. Focusing on a recent film adaptation of Jane Austen’s novel Emma, Prof Lucente will discuss the intricacies of adapting literature to film, within the wider context of the hugely popular Austen adaptations that proliferated in recent years.

In this edition, authors will be giving visitors a look into work-in-progress books. Entrance is free, but seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Drinks will be provided.
